The OPR Writing Jams are story-writing marathons where participants are asked to write a one-page story set in the OPR universe in 48 hours. The story has to follow the theme: Unlikely Allies. 

This short story is about a platoon of infantry establishing a harbour area from which to be based overnight, whilst knowing Alien Hive creatures are also in the area.
